EESHA
Short Drama Film
“I was drawn to your ability to tell a story with almost no words.” - Writer on BBC soap ‘Doctors’, after awarding the film the NaSTA Award for Best Writing
‘Eesha' was created in collaboration with the University of Surrey’s student television station StagTV, in order to involve Surrey University students with Brass Button’s storytelling and a more full-on production. The film was consequently entered into the National Student Television Awards for that year, where it won the awards for Best Writing and Best Drama and was highly commended for Cinematography.
The film initially released in 2019, but recently Brass Button has put together a re-release, more reflective of the current post-production skill of the company. The initial release was put together in an extremely short period of time, whilst Max was still employed at TRO Group Ltd., so the remaster has been an incredible opportunity to reflect on the film
-
A man tries to locate his missing child, who appears lost in the freezing winter wilderness between towns.

Shooting in relatively inaccessible and remote locations is challenging enough, let alone when it snows during the shoot! Trying to get camera support functioning on extremely uneven surfaces and mud required some out-of-the-box solutions. The film also had a very small crew and truncated post-production timetable.
